First Race on Saturday starts at 5.00pm.

First Race on Sunday starts at 3.00pm

Friday May 28th,  The course is being watered this evening.

Sunday 30th, light rain in Kinsale today. More rain is forecast for tomorrow and later in the week. 

The going is being monitored daily and any action deemed necessary will be undertaken to ensure perfect going for the festival.

New this Year

A Prize of €200 and a trophy will be awarded to the Groom of the “Best Turned Out” horse over the two days of the Festival.

This Competition is kindly sponsored by Mrs. Jill Twomey of Hitchmough Riding School. Monkstown, Co. Cork.

A prize of a piece of Jewellery will be awarded to the Jockeys of the winner, second & third horses in the Ladies National due to be run at 6.00pm on Saturday evening.

These prizes are kindly sponsored by Victoria Antiques, Oliver Plunkett St. Cork

The course received rave reviews, with owners, trainers, jockeys and the general public delighted by the facilities and the great viewing afforded by the new layout.

Kinsale has long been recognised as the “gourmet capital” of Ireland which ensures there will be good food and great craic to be had in the pubs and restaurants after racing.
